Our Service Never Stops

A Veterans Day Reflection on Community and Purpose

Introduction

As a service-disabled, veteran-owned firm, we see firsthand how veterans strengthen our clients, our communities, and our nation. Today, Evocati PR joins the nation in observing Veterans Day. We pause to honor the women and men who served in uniform.

For our team, this day is woven into our firm’s DNA. We understand that military service is not just a chapter in a person’s life; it is an identity. The values learned in service—integrity, leadership, resilience, and a commitment to the mission—do not fade upon separation.

Instead, they are channeled into new missions: building businesses, leading nonprofits, strengthening communities, and advocating for others.

This Veterans Day, we celebrate the continuation of service. We honor the veterans in America and abroad who apply their unique skills to solve complex problems and the remarkable organizations dedicated to empowering the entire military-connected community.

The military is one of the world’s most effective leadership laboratories. It trains individuals to adapt, innovate, and execute complex plans under pressure. It is no surprise that veterans are a powerful force in the American economy.

According to the SBA Office of Veteran Business Development, veteran-owned businesses employ millions of Americans and contribute significantly to the nation's economic stability.

This entrepreneurial spirit is a theme we constantly see. It’s the journey of taking military-honed skills and applying them to the civilian world, a transition discussed by our own founder, Barrett Y. Bogue, in his "From Dogtags to Ownership" podcast appearance. This path from service member to business owner is a testament to the enduring drive that defines veterans.

Our mission at Evocati PR is to help these leaders tell their stories, build their brands, and achieve their strategic PR goals. We believe that purpose-driven PR is essential for veteran entrepreneurs and military-connected nonprofits who seek to make a meaningful impact.

We also recognize that the transition from service is not without challenges. Veterans and their families face unique obstacles, from navigating complex health care systems to finding meaningful employment and combating food insecurity.

This is where the mission of our clients becomes critical.

We are honored to provide strategic communications support to organizations like Soldiers’ Angels, which leads the charge against veteran food insecurity. When Soldiers' Angels is spotlighted for its vital work, it allows the organization to reach more veterans and military families in need and rally more community support.

Effective public relations provide these organizations with the visibility they need to sustain and grow their impact. It ensures their message of support reaches those who need it most.

Organizations like Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) excel at this, bringing veterans together through physical and social activity. Our work securing media appearances for Team RWB helps amplify their message of connection and well-being.

This commitment to care extends to our work with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), the nation's leading resource for grieving military families. As their public relations agency of record, we work to amplify their vital message of hope and healing, ensuring every survivor knows they are not alone.

Likewise, we partner with veteran-owned businesses like PDS Optical, the largest provider of prescription eyewear to VA. Our focus is on raising awareness and educating veterans about the critical vision care benefits they have earned, helping them access the high-quality, eyewear they deserve.

Building the Future: Community and Connection

Our clients' work is vital. They combat isolation and rebuild the sense of camaraderie that is a hallmark of military life. By telling these stories, we help shift the public narrative from one of "broken veterans" to one of empowered, resilient, and connected leaders.

This Veterans Day, Evocati PR honors the legacy of service by celebrating the actions of veterans today. We thank our clients for their relentless commitment to the military-connected community, and we thank the veterans on our team and in our lives for their past and present service.

Their mission continues, and we are proud to serve them.
