How Evocati PR Clients are Elevating Veterans Day
Introduction
Veterans Day is a time for the nation to pause and recognize those who served. At Evocati PR, we believe honoring veterans goes beyond a single day; it is a year-round commitment that complements our mission to provide PR with a Purpose.
This month we're proud to highlight the incredible work of our clients—PDS Optical, Team RWB, and TAPS—as they launch major activations to support the military and veteran community. Their efforts showcase the tangible impact that values-driven organizations can make.
PDS Optical: Supporting Veterans’ Vision and Wellbeing
PDS Optical, which provides high-quality eyewear to veterans through its partnership with VA, is making a significant impact in its hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. The company is highlighting its mission through broadcast features with WHAS 11 ABC.
The week of Veteran's Day, "Great Day Live" will air an interview covering the company's VA partnership, its economic impact, and its commitment to giving back. PDS Optical will also give WHAS 11 and its viewers a tour of their lab. It will showcase the advanced technology and dedicated employees behind the 1.4 million pairs of glasses PDS has shipped this year, including a groundbreaking innovation invented by Louisville employee Ellis Cassidy.
PDS Optical is also extending its support directly to the community by hosting a holiday food drive on Thursday, November 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. The drive will collect non-perishable food items, and other goods for local veterans at the PDS Optical Lab (3801 Bishop Ln) and Korrect Optical (4036 Dutchmans Ln).

Evocati PR coordinated this engagement on behalf of our client by working with WHAS 11, staffing the LIVE Lab Tour in Louisville, and providing talking points to help PDS Optical's leadership team amplify its impact on the local community.
This blend of local media engagement and direct community support is a powerful example of how strategic communications can amplify a company's core mission.
Team RWB: Mobilizing a Nation to Honor Service
Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), America's leading health and wellness community for the military-connected community, is mobilizing veterans and supporters nationwide with two signature events.
First is the annual WOD for Warriors, running from November 7-16. Teams of 2-5 will complete 250 total reps of lunges, push-ups, air squats, sit-ups, and burpees, interspersed with 250m runs. The event is highly accessible, requiring no gym, equipment, or registration fee.

Additionally, Team RWB is launching its inaugural GWOT 100 challenge, a continuation of the Taji 100. Registration opens on Veterans Day for this honor-based fitness challenge, which invites participants to run, walk, or hike 100 miles during February.

The event connects participants to the history of the Global War on Terrorism by unlocking first-hand accounts from veterans as miles are completed. Houston Chapter Captain Tim Garcia will also represent the organization during a USAA Panel Discussion in San Antonio.

While coordinating these activations has kept us busy at Evocati PR, we love how Team RWB continuously ensures each one points back to its core mission of improving health and wellness in America's military-connected community.
These initiatives showcase Team RWB and Evocati PR's powerful ability to harness veteran engagement, building community through shared health and wellness challenges.

The initiative provides Veteran Family Comfort Upgrades, transforming the living rooms of deserving families with new furniture from Lovesac and Vizio TVs. TAPS played a crucial role in identifying inspiring veteran families whose service and stories are at the heart of the program.
