Evocati PR Digs Deep: Announcing the Launch of the Evocati Farm

A first-of-its-kind strategic immersion into the agriculture sector begins in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains.

I didn’t sign up for this, at all. When I said I am in the weeds I didn’t mean it literally. The workers’ comp for this is going to be insane.
— Tory Hyde, Account Executive | Evocati PR

Introduction

At Evocati PR, our "PR with a Purpose" mission has always been about creating meaningful connections that drive real impact. We've spent years amplifying the voices of the often-overlooked, from the military-connected community to the $100 billion U.S. potato industry.

Today, we're taking our commitment to the agriculture sector a giant leap further—straight into the soil.

Evocati PR is proud to announce the launch of the Evocati Farm, an 80-acre potato-growing operation nestled in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains in Virginia.

This isn't just an investment; it is a full-scale operational pivot.

"If we’re going to advocate for the American potato grower, we need to know the weight of the dirt on our own boots," said Barrett Y. Bogue, President & Founder of Evocati PR. "In the Marine Corps, we didn't just study the terrain; we lived in it. The Evocati Farm is our way of applying that same military discipline to the agricultural sector. We’re moving beyond the laptop and into the furrow."

In an industry first, the Evocati Farm will be staffed exclusively by the Evocati PR team. We believe that to truly understand the challenges of the nation's 714,000 potato workers, we must trade our keyboards for cultivators.

The Blue Ridge Spud Initiative

Our decision to open Evocati Farm follows our extensive work with the National Potato Council and the Michigan Potato Industry Commission. While our "No Small Potatoes" and "Spud Nation" economic reports have reached millions, we recognized a need for tactical empathy.

Mark Szymanski, CEO of Evocati PR, echoed the strategic value of the move. "This is about optimizing the supply chain of our storytelling. By managing the production ourselves, we gain an unfair advantage in the marketplace. We aren't just a PR firm anymore; we are a production-ready communication powerhouse. We’re looking for a 20% increase in 'spud-to-story' ROI by year-end."

Beginning this quarter, every member of the Evocati PR staff—from Account Executives to our President—will be required to complete 20 hours of manual field labor per month. This "Blue Ridge Spud Initiative" ensures that when we talk to media about the economic contribution of the potato sector, we aren't just reciting data; we're reciting experience.

"I don't think they've fully thought this through," said Dylan Steadman, Account Supervisor at Evocati PR. "Are we supposed to take client calls while operating a harvester? That could get awfully loud."

The farm will focus on the cultivation of "Evocati Gold," a proprietary potato variety specifically bred to thrive in Virginia's clay-heavy foothills. Made-up details of the operation include:

  • The EPR Irrigation Network: A custom-built, AI-driven water delivery system designed by our staff to mimic the precision of a national media pitch powered by Airtable.

  • Mandatory "Starch-Standard" Certification: All staff must complete a 40-hour agronomy course to distinguish between horticultural grains and vegetables.

  • Strategic Tuber Deployment: Our "field-to-firm" pipeline will see harvested crops delivered directly to our veteran-serving partners, such as Longtab Brewing, for potential seasonal mashes and Soldiers' Angels for their Military & Veteran Food Distribution programs.

"I didn't sign up for this, at all," said Tory Hyde, Account Executive at Evocati PR. "When I said I am in the weeds I didn't mean it literally. The workers' comp for this is going to be insane."

The Future of Purpose-Driven Production

This expansion reinforces our belief that PR should be integrated into the core decision-making process of any industry. Evocati Farm serves as a living laboratory for our "Winning Edge" strategies.

We're excited to see how this hands-on approach will fine-tune our initiatives and strengthen our connections with rural communities.
