Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Cate has over 15 years of experience in veteran studies research through the University of California at Santa Barbara, Student Veterans of America, The Million Records Project, and the National Veteran Education Success Tracker.

In 2025, Dr. Cate founded Analytiq Impact where he serves as Founder and CEO. Analytic Impact helps nonprofits and other organizations move from “noise to narrative” by transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive mission‑aligned decisions and measurable outcomes. His firm bridges the gap between analytics and storytelling—helping leaders communicate impact in ways that inspire donors, policymakers, and communities alike.
